Slight rhythmic pulsing flies by raising and lowering the rod causes the fish to jump. When the rod is lifted, the string is corrected and flies slowly pulls up and down. By lowering the rod down flies to sink slowly and feathers flies (Saccas Chebar) to bend towards the hook eye. Gently lifting up the rod,feathers flies to bend backwards. Thus pulling the fly looks like it was alive it irritates the fish shot. Pulsing should be very skillfully, and that can be a feathers, open and close. Tenkara has no strict rules.
