Tungsten is a non-toxic material that can keep rivers, beaches and lakes clean for us and the wildlife in the environment. Compared with other materials (brass, lead, etc.), the weight of tungsten with the same diameter/volume is significantly higher than other metals. As a result, your nymph will sink to the bottom faster and can use a smaller hook size, even in water with faster turbulence. When throwing the ribbon, the tungsten beads will keep the pattern downward, and will not let the water flow push the steamer to the surface of the water, allowing your flies to stay in the "area" longer. Using these specially cut tungsten beads (diamond pattern), you can add special highlights to your favorite patterns. The diamond cut pattern makes light refract and reflect more frequently.
